HDR

In photography HDR means High Dynamic Range it means that a photo will have greater detail in light and dark areas of a photo.
Way 1:
It can be achieved by taking 3 photos one that is bright, one that is medially lit up and one that is dark and combining them into one photo.

Way 2:
Another way that it can be achieved is by using a camera or iPhone 6 or later and shooting in HDR mode.

I like this photo because of the way the range of light to dark and the way the streets are lit up it looks really awesome.

Exploring Landscape

Image 1

Image 2

Image 3

Did you use the rule of thirds? What did you emphasize with it sky or land? (5/0)
My favorite image is the third one. I used the rule of thirds in the photo and used the sky to emphasize by having sky take the top third.

What Principles of design did you use and how? (5/0)

I used emphasis seen by the differences between the light poles and the trees and proportion with all the spacing in the photo. There is a variety of plants and random trash cans. There is repetition with the trees and light poles.

What time of day was your image taken? Was it a good time to shoot or not? Why?
(5/0)
This was taken at 2 in the afternoon it was not a good time to shoot for many reasons the first being the lighting was too bright and it was hard to get a good picture and there was a class that kept walking through were I was trying to shoot.

How did you use the foreground/background relationship? (5/0)
The images seen in the foreground are bigger and clearer with the small details about them being easier to see.
Edge Burning

Lab Color
Desaturation
Channel Mixer
Black and White Questions
 1. Which method do you think produced the best result for you?
I think the gradient effect created the best effect because it looks better and has a large range of value.
2. Did you achieve a large value range for each image? If not, which methods worked the best?
They all have a decent range of value for each of them except for the lab color method because that is pretty much all one color.

Close up landscape

1. How was using the macro lens?

It was easy to put onto my phone but it was very difficult to get a picture that was focused and not blurry.
2. Which is your favorite shot and why?

I like my second shot because it shows cool details of the plant and it is clear and has good coloring on it.
 3. Which shot shows the best use of the rule of thirds?

The second shot shows the best use of the rule of thirds because it is slightly of centered while the other ones are in the middle.
4. What principles of design are used in your favorite image?
There are emphasis and proportion used in the second photo because there are interesting size differences in the different leaves and there is a clear leaf that is emphasized.
